Im Rahmen unseres aktuellen Erasmus-Moduls “Digital Literacy and Learner Autonomy” beschäftigen sich Schülerinnen und Schüler der Jgst. 10 im August und September 2022 mit Trends, die unsere nahe Zukunft beeinflussen werden. In Lublin, Polens zweitwichtigster Handelsstadt, werden sie vom 25. bis 30. September eine Ausstellung zum Thema “Our Future” in englischer Sprache erstellen.
Am Freitag, 12.8.2022, können sich interessierte Schülerinnen und Schüler in der ersten Pause im Aquarium über den Ablauf der Vorbereitungen informieren. Wer mitfahren möchte, sollte in englischer Sprache am Freitag, 26.8.2022, in der 5. Stunde (12.00 Uhr) in der Lehrerbibliothek eine These/Frage diskutieren, die zu einer dieser Trends passt: urbanisation, gentrification, digitalisation, educational change oder climate change. Die Präsentation sollte 4 bis max. 5 Minuten dauern; ein Handout mit Quellen und den Hauptargumenten kann mitgebracht werden.
In den nächsten Wochen werden zwei Produkte entstehen, die mit nach Polen genommen werden:
Prep 1: Students will attend a preparatory workshop on digital literacy. During a following open-learning phase students will deal with the question of how to make good internet searches. The aim for them is to work out “The top 10 tips for information research”. These tips will be compiled in a WIKI which will show how to distinguish between legitimate and dubious sources of information and how to critically evaluate online sources.
Prep 2: Students will get in touch with project students from the other countries via eTwinning and form internationally mixed groups. Each group will choose a relevant and interesting topic about the future of their own children in the 21st century. Students will focus on the effects of urbanisation, digitalisation, gentrification, climate change and educational change. Teachers may make suggestions about suitable topics and give advice if need be, but it is essential that the project is carried out independently by the students. The teachers are to act as counsellors, but it is not for them to guide the students through the process! Students will collaborate online in their international groups and exchange ideas, distribute preparatory tasks and agree on a presentation form to present their findings to their peers when they meet in Poland. This is a most challenging undertaking, but the risk of failure must be accepted for the sake of student autonomy.
