Amersfoort

Amersfoort is a beautiful Dutch town with a long history. It is only 2.5 hours from Essen – if you do not happen to take a train on a day when there is a chemical spill in Oberhausen due to which you find yourself stranded in Duisburg. Well, we called it “bad karma”, carried on via Mönchenglad and Utrecht and finally arrived at Farel Academy just in time.

The Opening Ceremony took place in a church nearby, since the school’s auditorium was not large enough for more than 400 delegates.

Then the conference startet with lobbying phases, debates and speeches.

And all too soon the conference was over and the delegates had to take leave. We hope to be back soon!
